Cyber Chip last night

Hi Everyone,

Last night I taught our Tiger, Wolf, and Bear Dens in our new Cyber Chip program. This program is too teach the boys about internet safety and anti cyberbullying. I had a bunch of enthusiastic kids last night! I loved their energy and how they took it all in. We even had a prospective scout sit in. He proved that he was very cyber smart and enthusiastic about becoming a scout! I welcome him with open arms to join our pack and hope we will get a bunch more like him!

I will be making the Cyber Chip program a mandatory thing in our next scouting year. Our pack will have an advantage that we are a year ahead of the program. For parents and leaders who want to learn more about the program, plus follow the links below.

Also, here is a site from England that teaches more about cyber safety and stranger danger. I highly recommend it and used it in last nights meeting.

Last, here is the curriculum for the Scout Cyber Chip program.

This will give you an idea what is going on. I plan to change some of the curriculum for more excitement next year, and still follow the scout guidelines.

Just a reminder that we do not have any meetings next week April 8th. It is Spring Break, so enjoy your week off kids! Our next meeting is our recruitment meeting on April 15th. If you know of a boy that is interested in joining, have them bring their parent to the recruitment drive. We will have each Den have a booth displaying some of the fun the boys have throughout the year. It will be an exciting time and fun.

Well, that is all for now. I have to change a tire on my Jeep and I got a screw impaled in my front tire. I  will be posting more during the week. Look forward to hearing more from you all and seeing you on April 15th.

  1. Thank you Allen for giving the presentation on Monday! I really think this is important for the boys to hear and for the parents to know. Have a great break!
